EMPIRE

In my Concepts and Design Class, we were asked to pick an album and redesign the front and back cover. After MANY hours of debating what artist I wanted to use, I had to spend MANY more deciding which album to use. haha ok not exactly MANY, but it was a hard decision. In the end, I chose Hillsong's "Empires" Album. I had this picture of wanting to use a skyline silhouette in the background, but my Professor gave me an interesting thought that lead to the final product. He said, "What about instead of a skyline it was someone's apartment" I was confused because there's nothing big, fancy, or powerful about an apartment that resembled an Empire. He then said something like "To an individual, one's room or home, it's their Empire." And when I thought about it, it's true. My room is MINE, I rule over it (technically it was also partially the living room at the time, but I got the idea).
This led to me Google searching high and low for a large image of apartment windows. That search kinda failed, so I decided I'd have to take an "OK" photo and photoshop the crap out it to make it look not photoshopped. I then had to photoshop lights in, to spell out EMPIRE across the apartment building. It was a tough, and long process but was happy with the turn out.
